Documentation
Definition
Specifies (together with Factor 1) the weight of a term when calculating the whole formula, for example, for a weighted sum.
Use
Factor 1 and Factor 2 are used by the quantity split routine to distribute the whole commodity quantity of the item across all terms. This is mainly used for value-based terms.
Factor 1 and Factor 2 can be used by the combination routine to calculate the formula rate from all the term rates.
Dependencies
Instead of using factors, you can define the commodity quantity for each term.
Example
If the commodity quantity is not defined for each item, Combination Routine 4 (Weighted Sum of Terms) uses Factor 1 and Factor 2.
Term 1: "Factor 1" = 1, "Factor 2" = 3
Term 2: "Factor 1" = 2, "Factor 2" = 3
In this case, the first term contributes one-third to the formula value, and the second term contributes two-thirds.
