Definition
Specifies the date for which the price was read from the commodity curve.
Use
For analysis purposes, you use the curve reading date as the date on the x-axis of the commodity curve.
Dependencies
If quotations of futures are used in a quotation period, there is an offset between the date in the quotation period and the curve reading date. This offset corresponds to the time to maturity.
Example
In January, you want to forecast the February quotations of the 3-months-aluminium futures. In this case, the system uses the dates for May as the curve reading dates.
