Definition

During settlement, you can trigger posting for settlement results

  • separately for each sender, or
  • together for several senders.

You can reduce the run time for settlement by carefully selecting the number of senders whose settlement results should be posted together.
Note the following:

  • If only one settlement job at a time is running in the background, it is a good idea to post a larger number of senders (e.g. 50) together.
  • When you want to start several settlement jobs in the background at the same time, you should select a smaller number of senders to be posted together (for example, 5-10 senders).

Note
If a sender is settled to a fixed asset or a material, the settlement result is always posted immediately, as the fixed asset or the material would otherwise be locked for the next sender. The number of senders to be posted together is only considered for other receivers such as cost centers, orders and so on.
