Documentation
Definition
Externally assigned, alphanumeric name that uniquely identifies a copy profile.
Use
Copy profiles act as time-savers; you can use the same copy profile again and again to copy data from one information structure to another.
Copy profiles are used in conjunction with key figure assignment profiles. These profiles are created in the Customizing steps Copy profile and Assign key figure to copy profile respectively.
You create and schedule a job to copy a key figure from one information structure to another using a copy profile under Planning -> Mass processing.
Dependencies
Before you create a copy profile, a key figure assignment profile needs to have been created.
When you define a mass processing job, you must specify an activity. Activities are defined either under Settings -> Mass processing or in the Customizing step Activities.
