Definition

This number determines the order in which the different entries in the derivation table are processed.

You need to take care when defining this sequence if the entries in the derivation table are built on one another.

Example:

  • One entry in the derivation table derives the district. (This entry will be referred to as "A".)
  • In another entry, the district is used as a key field for determining the region (entry "B").

In this case, entry A must be processed before entry B. To ensure this, enter a lower number for entry A than for entry B (e.g. "1" for A, "2" for B).

Note

When you generate your operating concern, the system automatically generates the entries for derivation from SAP master data tables in the derivation table.

If you change these generated entries (derivation sequence "99"), the system will no longer perform derivation according to the SAP standard. You should therefore consider carefully before changing the generated entries.

Instead of changing the generated entries, you should copy the entries and give them a number lower than "99". Then you can change the new entries as you wish.
