Definition
You use to field "Valuation type" to specify which valuation type should be sought for materials valuated separately using existing costing keys and the appropriate costing.
If you have transferred the field "Valuation type" as a characteristic into the data structures of your operating concern, then costings for Product Cost Accounting will always be accessed as standard on the basis of the characteristic value listed in the COPA line item and assigned for the characteristic "Valuation type".
In cases where the field "Valuation type" is not maintained as a characteristic of the operating concern, you can use the user exit to assign data to the field "Valuation type". For this, the field must also be added as the target field when defining an "enhancement".
