Definition

Defines whether an attribute is configurable.
Configurable means that the attribute is visible and can be changed in the configuration process.

In the case of configurable products, you can also maintain value range restrictions and default values for these attributes at product level. Where products are not configurable, however, configurable attributes are treated as normal attributes.

Configurable attributes are stored additionally in the Product Modeling Environment (PME). The Internet Pricing and Configurator (IPC)/PME must therefore be installed if you use configurable attributes.
