Documentation
Definition
The authorization group together with the product category allows you to determine whether a user is authorized to maintain or display products.
If a product category is not assigned an authorization group, this means that an additional authorization check is not required for products in this category.
Example
Product category Authorization group
K1 0001
K2 0002
K3 --
K4 0001
Using the authorization object COM_PRD_CT, you assign a user all activities for authorization group 0001 but only the display authorization for authorization group 0002.
The user can therefore create, change, and display products in categories K1, K3, and K4, but only display products in category 0002.
Note
If an authorization group is assigned to a product category, all lower-level categories inherit this group too, even if they have already been assigned another authorization group.
