In this parameter, you enter the RFC destination where the search engine can be reached.
Notes
- Information about the installation of the SAP TREX search engine can be obtained at http://service.sap.com/instguides
-> Installation & Upgrade Guides
-> SAP NetWeaver - You can edit RFC destinations in transaction SM59.
The current recommendations for the SAP TREX search engine are:
In transaction SM59, you should choose T - TCP/IP Connection as the Connection Type.
In transaction SM59, you should choose Registered Server Program as the Activation Type. - If the RFC destination is not set, no search engine has been connected. The system analyzes this information at various points, to save system resources, if necessary. The system does not then write any change pointers for the search engine service, for example, when application objects are changed.
