Definition

Specifies whether the index contains multilingual objects.

Use

Many business objects in the SAP system are multilingual and can, for example, contain short and long texts in multiple languages.

• If you use your SAP system in more than one language, you should set the "Multilingual" flag.
• If you only use your SAP system in one language, you do not need to set this flag. This improves performance to some extent.

  You should not set the flag for business objects that do not support more than one language.

Dependencies

If you want to change the flag setting for a business object, you must first delete the index. Once the index has been deleted, you can change the setting and create the index again. After re-creating the index, you must execute a new complete indexing.
