Definition
Specifies whether the ID mapping is indexed.
This parameter is relevant only if the Master Data Management (SAP MDM) with the SAP Content Integrator is active in your system. For more information, see the SAP Library at SAP Netweaver -> SAP Master Data Management (SAP MDM) -> SAP Content Integrator.
Use
Master Data Management can manufacture and manage the connection between the master data objects on a master data server (MDS) and several master data clients (MDCs). The connection is manufactured using the content integrator. The result is the ID mapping. This is the assignment of all internal and external keys for the master data objects on the server and the different clients. The search engine service can index this ID mapping. You can use it to search for corresponding objects on the server based on the keys of the master data objects in the clients.
Dependencies
Example
A material master has the key 01004712 on the master data server. The corresponding material master has the key ABC123 in the master data client.
In this case, you can search for ABC123 on the user interface of the server. The search result that appears is the material master 01004712.
