Definition
Indicator controlling whether parallel prices are calculated and stored for activity types as part of the price calculation. You can calculate prices separately for each version/fiscal year.
- Indicator active
- Activate the indicator only if you set allocation prices manually during activity type planning. If the indicator is active, price calculation gives a purely iterative price as well as the price resulting from planning (a mixture of iterative and manually-set prices). The system calculates purely iterative prices as if no manually-set prices exist, meaning that it determines separate purely iterative prices for all activity types on all cost centers in this version.
Because both prices are stored in parallel, you can use the price report to compare the purely iterative prices with the prices resulting from planning. The iterative price shows the effect of manual prices on activity prices overall.
To valuate the allocated actual activity quantities, the system uses the prices resulting from planning, provided you have not revalued the actual activities with actual prices. The purely iterative price is essential for valuating actual activity quantities.
- Indicator inactive
- If the indicator is inactive, the system does not calculate purely iterative prices
