Definition

For valuations using production order splits, this parameter controls whether and how the result of the split for the cost estimate determined is adjusted to the result value (order plan value).

The following settings are possible:

  • Scale Values on Basis of Balance Valuation Relevance: You can scale the part of the cost component split that is relevant to balance valuation so that it corresponds to the order plan value. Using the resulting cost component split, the system recalculates the overall value in accordance with the specified costing view. Example of typical usage: Alongside the "ordinary" costs, you also need to determine overhead for sales and administration.
  • Scale Values According to View: With this option, the system calculates the cost component split so that its value corresponds to the order plan value in the specified costing view (including any cost portions that are not relevant to balance valuation). Example of typical usage: Transfer of group costing.
  • Do Not Scale Values: With this option, the system does not scale the cost component split of the cost estimate found for a material component; instead, the system adjusts the cost component split to the order quantity. This can produce overall values that differ from the order plan value (also in the cost portions that are relevant to inventory valuation). Example of typical usage: Transfer of cross-company-code costing (legal view).

Use

You need to set this parameter if access via a material cost estimate is selected for valuation in Profitability Analysis and the setting "Transfer Production Order Cost Estimate" has been selected as the costing key.
