Definition
Price from a released standard cost estimate.
Use
The price of a released standard cost estimate is updated in the current planned price field as well as in the current standard price field.
The price in the current planned price field remains the same until the standard cost estimate is updated in the next period. The current planned price records the material valuation in the itemization of the standard cost estimate for the higher-level material for each period.
Following a manual price change to the standard price in the period, all material stocks are revaluated at the new standard price. The manual price change does not affect the price in the current planned price field, but that of the current standard price field.
On releasing the standard cost estimate for the next period, both fields are updated with the new price from the standard cost estimate.
A strategy can be defined for material valuation in material costing, the valuation using the value in the current planned price field.
Material movements are valuated using the price in the current standard price.
