Definition

Allows the costing version to be entered manually.

Use

If you set this indicator, you can create more than one cost estimate for a material in a given period. If you create a cost estimate with a costing version for which a cost estimate already exists, the old cost estimate will be overwritten.

If you do not set this indicator, the system will ignore manually entered costing versions and save the cost estimate with a sequential internal costing version number. This prevents cost estimates from being overwritten when the costing version is entered manually.
