Definition
Release of the costing run or update of other prices in the material master.
Use
In this step, you have the system update the costing results in the material master.
- If you have created a standard cost estimate, release the costing run and the costing results will be written to the material master as the current standard price.
- If you have created a cost estimate using a costing variant that provides for updating other planned prices 1, 2, and 3 or tax-based and commercial prices 1, 2, and 3 in the material master, you can update these prices in this step.
- First, you define the selection criteria (Change parameters).
- You update the prices (Execute).
The Status column indicates whether the processing step was executed successfully or whether warning/error messages were issued.
You can display the log for this step by choosing Display log.
The Edited and With errors columns display the number of materials that have been edited and costed with errors respectively.
The Still open column shows the number of materials that have yet to be processed for the steps Structure explosion, Costing, Marking, and Release/ Price update.
Note
You can change the selection criteria retrospectively and execute the processing step afresh. In the case of standard cost estimates, this only applies if you have not yet released the costing run. After you have done so, you can execute the selection, explosion and costing steps again, although you cannot save the costing results.
