Definition

Strategy sequence defining the valuation of materials with prices from the purchasing info record.

Use

If you have entered strategy L (price from purchasing info record) in the strategy sequence for material valuation, you can specify in detail which prices should be accessed in the purchasing info record and in which order.

The material components are valuated with a price from the purchasing info record, in order to determine the material costs.

Procedure

You can enter up to three strategies. If you enter more than one strategy, the priority specifies the strategy for the order in which prices for the material are to be sought by the system.

Examples

You have entered the following strategy sequence:

  1. Net quotation price (strategy 3)
  2. Net purchase price (strategy 7)
  3. Effective price from the purchase order without fixed costs (6)

The system searches first in the purchasing info record for the net quotation price. If the net quotation price is found, it is used to valuate the material.

If the system cannot find a net quotation price, it searches for the net purchase price. If the net purchase price is found, it is used to valuate the material.

If the system cannot find a net purchase price, it searches for the effective price from the purchase order without fixed costs, and uses this for the material valuation.
