Definition

You can choose how the system deals with price differences: they can be defined as internal revenues or as real price differences.

Profitability Analysis requires that price differences that occur as a result of using transfer prices must be broken down as internal revenues. For this reason, these price differences are not updated in the material ledger.

Exception

Such price differences are updated in the material ledger if you define in Customizing for the Material Ledger that such transactions are to be assigned to the category "Other Receipts/Consumption" and therefore should affect the price.
