Definition
Unit of measure in which inventories of the material are valuated. The valuation unit of measure can be the same as the base unit of measure; in a catch weight solution, however, it may be different. In that case the valuation unit of measure is indicated as such in the material master. Like the conversion factors for the alternative units of measure, the conversion factor for converting from the base unit to the valuation unit is defined in the material master.
Use
The valuation unit of measure is used for displaying costing results, updating prices, and valuating inventories.
