Definition
This is the costing variant intended for the release of the standard cost estimate.
Use
If a costing variant is marked for the release of a satndard cost estimate in the costing run, the costing results are written to this costing variant as the future prices for the valuation segment of the material master.
Later, the future prices have to be passed on to financial accounting for material valuation purposes. In this case, you talk about a released costing variant.
