Definition

The account must have the following characteristics:

• Account currency must be the same as the company code currency
• Balances in local currency only
• Can only be posted to automatically
• No open items managed
• No reconciliation account
• Income statement account

Do not enter a material stock account here, under any circumstances, or else you will lose the reconcilliation between the subledger accounting and the general ledger accounting.

If you create a separate account at production startup of the material ledger, you have the advantage that foreign currency differences are displayed in this account and do not interfere with other transactions.
