Definition

Indicator that, if set, causes the system to check the material number against the number range assigned.

Use

This check is recommended only for material numbers assigned externally since internal material numbers are obtained from the target system by RFC and stored in the IDoc. This makes it unnecessary to check internal numbers during posting.

Dependencies

This indicator can be set only for data transfer. In the case of distribution by ALE, the indicator is not set since a material is always created in the target system with the number from the source system. The system does not then check for a number range.
