Definition
With the data area you can determine with which fiscal year variant the data is stored in EIS.
in addition, you can set with which currency key key figures (whose unit is currency) are stored using the data area.
Up to Release 3.1 the data area was called the 'Version' and was a fixed field in the aspect structure. From Release 4.0 the data area is no longer an obligatory field. It should only be used den, if data is to be managed with different period units, i.e. with different fiscal year variants, within one aspect.
