Documentation
Definition
You have to enter a characteristic value for a certain characteristic or for a variable.
You can get the possible entries using the pushbutton (F4).
If you are at the 'Character. values' stage in the report definition, please note that the possible entries (F4) for variables differs to that for normal characteristic values.
- If you have switched on the variable entry symbol using 'Variables on/off' and called up the possible entries, the system displays the allowed variables.
With text variables you can enter text. Therefore, you get no possible entries in this case. - If you have turned off the variable entry (so the symbol disappears), you receive the master data of the corresponding characteristic.
If, for example, you want to enter a characteristic value for a certain characteristic, you will be offered all the permitted values. You can also enter '#'. This is the indicator for initial (not assigned). If, for example, the characteristic is 'Country' and you wish to select all the data records, which are not assigned to a country, you can enter '#'.
