Definition
With the help of the hierarchy display, you determine the tree's configuration. You determine at which point the successor node is assigned to the main node.
The following display possibilities are offered:
- Balanced
The successor nodes appear centralized under the main node with this setting. The middle node appears directly under the main node, while the others are assigned to the left and to the right. The "stem" of the hierarchy tree appears, therefore, in the middle. - Unbalanced.
The first successor node appears directly under the main node. The remaining nodes are grouped together to the right, one after the other. The display of the "stem" of the tree appears on the left hand side, and the branches branch out to the right. - Contents
This display is the same as the unbalanced display but each level is shifted half a node width to the right. Therefore, the "stem" of the tree appears as a zig-zag line, which goes from top left to bottom right - Mixed display
