Documentation
Definition
In the process order, this specifies the date up to which a material can be stored and is still usable.
Use
This field can be interpreted as the best-before date (the goods can be sold after this date) or as the shelf life expiration date (the goods cannot be sold after this date). In the process order, the system calculates the BBD/SLED using the following formula:
BBD/SLED = date of manufacture + maximum storage period + additional days
You can use the Business Add-In Calculate the Best-Before Date in Process Order to change this formula. In Customizing for Production Planning for Process Industries under Process Order -> Master Data -> Define Production Scheduling Profiles, you can select the Copy BBD/SLED to Batch Master checkbox to specify that the BBD/SLED calculated in the process order should be copied to the batch master record.
