Definition
The concept of the 'aspect' is used to structure the SAP-EIS data set into independent areas each representing a different business facet.
From a technical view point, each aspect is a data base. You can create or change the structure of this data base using a maintenance transaction.
Aspects are therefore organizational entities on which almost all actions in SAP-EIS are based.
