Documentation
Definition
You can copy application data in the client copy if the source environment contains application data of appropriate:
- quality (useful test data),
- quantity (not too much data)
upon which to base the target client. This can simplify the otherwise onerous creation of a representative test environment.
If you do not select this option, application data in the target client is deleted to avoid inconsistencies.
The separation of master and transaction data is technically not possible.
Note:
Some SAP production system tables can be very big and take a long time to process. As you cannot do anything else in the source or target clients during this time, you should consider not copying the application data.
