Definition
All messages issued in a process that was started as a job can be displayed in the job log while the job is being completed. However, you can also hide some or all of the message types.
In customizing, you can specify the message types that are to be displayed in the job log by setting an indicator. Note that the job log does contain all "S" messages to prevent the job from being cancelled due to certain message types.
Unlike database updates, for which you cannot hide A and E messages, you can hide all types for the batch display.
If you have maintained the user parameter CACS_BATCHDISP, the system uses it, and the customizing settings are not taken into account.
For more information, seeMessage Types.
