Definition
In this field, you can define the desired total level for each characteristic of the row or column block.
You can define the desired total level either top-down (positive values) or bottom-up (negative values). You can thus define the hierarchy level up to which or from which you want to output subtotals.
The highest subtotal for a characteristic has level 1, the second highest has level 2, and so on. In order to output only the lowest subtotals, the lowest level is assigned the value 1- and the next highest level the value 2-; other negative values are not supported.
The total level 1- is automatically set for data fields, currency fields and unit fields.
Example
Multi-dimension set with 2 characteristics (the level is defined on the right in parentheses)

The following entries are possible for this example:
- blank
- maximum total level (all levels of the characteristic are listed)
- 0
- maximum total level (all levels of the characteristic are listed)
- 1
- 1st level of the characteristic
- 2
- 1st to 2nd level of the characteristic
- 3
- 1st to 3rd level of the characteristic
- 4
- 1st to 4th level of the characteristic
- 1-
- only lowest level of the characteristic (values in basic sets)
- 2-
- lowest and next highest level of the characteristic (values in basic sets). 2- is not allowed together with suppress flags in sets.
