Definition

Unique 8-character number that presents a single object (for example, organizational unit, qualification, business event).

Use

You restrict a report to selected objects for evaluations by using this field, by specifying the object IDs for the objects that are to be included in the evaluation.

Note

In this report, the system can interpret your entries sequentially, structurally, or as a combination. If you specify an evaluation path when requesting a report, this is then interpreted structurally. Otherwise, the report is interpreted sequentially.

  • Sequential: The system only evaluates the objects specified when requesting.
  • Structural: The system builds a structure for every object selected and evaluates this.
  • Combination: The fields can be interpreted sequentially or structurally.

Procedure

You have three options when selecting objects for evaluations:

  • Specify a single object in the From field, for example 50000002. The report only evaluates the specified object.
  • Specify an object area in the From and To fields, such as 50000002 to 50000030. The report evaluates all objects that are within this area.
  • Specify a list of object IDs, for example 50000002 to 50000008, 50000015 to 50000021 and 50000026 to 50000037. Choose the input help (F4). A dialog box appears in which you can enter a list of objects.

Note

For sequential reports, you can include all objects in your evaluation, by leaving the Object ID field blank. However, this is not recommended for structural reports as the system builds a structure for every object in the organizational structure and evaluates these.
