Definition

Set this indicator if the transaction type is for intercompany transfers between affiliated companies (company codes). Usually this type of transfer takes place when an existing asset is purchased by an affiliated company.

The indicator controls the postings associated with the transfer (the acquisition and retirement). The system requires a selling company code for the retirement, and a receiving company code for the acquisition.

If you set the "gross" indicator at the same time:

• The system automatically changes the retirement/acquisition transaction type to a transfer transaction type.
• You can enter proportional value adjustments when you enter the acquisition.

Both of these results affect only depreciation areas that are defined with the "gross transfer" indicator.
