Use
If the BP relationships of a BP relationship category are differentiated according to additional criteria, you can establish here whether the values for the individual elements of the differentiation type must be stated.
If you identify a differentiation type element as being generic, this means that you do not have to enter a value for the differentiation in the case of a relationship, and that the differentiation applies to all possible values.
If you do not identify the differentiation type element as being generic, a value must always be entered for the differentiation.

The differentiation type element may not be used generically, i.e. to differentiate BP relationships you must enter a value not equal to ' ' in the differentiation type element.

The differentiation type element may be used generically, i.e. to differentiate BP relationships you may use the value ' ' in the differentiation type element. The value ' ' then means 'applies to all values of the differentiation type element' (generic use).

Use
This indicator defines how the selection values should be interpreted.
Dependencies
If the 'from' value and the 'to' value of the selection are empty, the value has the following significance for the indicator:
- ' ' (SPACE)
All values (including the value SPACE) should be selected.
- 'X'
Only the value equal to SPACE (generic value) fulfills the selection.
If the 'from' value is not stated in the selection, but the 'to' value does contain an entry, then the value has the following significance for the indicator
- ' ' (SPACE)
All values up to the 'to' value excluding the value SPACE fulfill the selection.
- 'X'
All values up to the 'to' value including the value SPACE fulfill the selection.
