Definition

New user password.

Procedure

In this field you enter a password for the initial logon of a new user.

A password:

  • Must be at least three characters long, but may not exceed eight characters (minimum can vary).
  • Can contain any characters, including numbers, blank characters and punctuation.
  • May not begin with a question mark "?", exclamation mark "!" or a blank character. You may not have a blank character among the first three characters either.
  • May not be PASS or SAP*.
  • Cannot start with three identical characters
  • Cannot contain a three-character character sequence that also occurrs in the user name.

In this field you can only enter a password for initial logon. To change a password, choose GoTo -> Change Password.
