Definition
An observer in Incident Observation (IO) is any kind of ABAP OO reference. To allow only apposite references each IO-scene defines which observers is accepted. An observer here is always defined by the name of an ABAP OO interface or class. Whenever an ABAP object instance tries to engage itself as an observer of a scene the observation oenter declines this attempt if the object does not meet any of the given observer definitions. Additionally, an observer object always needs to implement the interface IF_BS_INOB_OBSERVING by which is being accessed if the observation center dispatches reports of incidents.
