Documentation
Definition
The maximum gross weight capacity for collective processing through this shipping point.
Use
If you enter a gross weight in this field, the system selects due deliveries that total up to this weight. The system selects the deliveries according to internal delivery priority. The priority is based on shipping factors, such as:
- Shipping point
- Delivery date
- Delivery priority
- Route
Example
The following sales orders are due for delivery:
Sales order Gross weight
1 100 lbs
2 440 lbs
3 330 lbs
If you enter a maximum gross weight of 450 lbs, the system selects only the first and third deliveries in the list (even though the weight of the second delivery is closer to 450 lbs).
