Definition

The total surcharge (or reduction, if there is a minus sign in front of the number) resulting from the surcharge/reduction characteristics assigned to the rental unit is shown here when a rent adjustment is made using the representative list of rents.
To calculate the new rent, this surcharge/reduction is weighted with the percentage specified for the rental unit and added to the calculated base rent.

When the adjustment is made according to points, the number of points that result without consideration for the surcharge/reduction percentage of the rental unit is shown.
