Definition

If this indicator is turned on, the inventory and reserves calculated by the WIP calculation or results analysis process are written under different cost elements depending on whether the inventories (such as the work in process, the value of the sales order stock, or the value of the project stock) and the reserves (such as the reserves for unrealized costs) were created or used.

Use

You turn on this indicator in the following situations:

  • When you want creation and usage to remain visible within a given period
  • When you want reductions to be differentiated between cancellation and usage

Dependencies

If you turn on this indicator, note the following:

  • You must define both a cost element for creation and a cost element for usage. Each of these cost elements must be of cost element category 31 (results analysis for orders/projects).
  • A field will appear under Update for creation and another field for usage. Define the update for creation separately from the update for usage.
  • You can create a posting rule for creation and a separate posting rule for usage.

If you turn on this indicator, you still only have to have one technical results analysis cost element in the results analysis version.
