Definition

Use

If you have created a promise to pay in installments for an invoice, the system assigns incoming payments to the installments. The first payment is assigned to the first installment. If, following this, part of the first installment is still open, the second payment is also assigned to the first installment until it has been completely paid. Only then is the payment amount assigned to the second installment.

If the date of the assigned payment is before the installment due date, the payment amount increases the total of the installment amounts paid on schedule, otherwise the total of installment amounts not paid on schedule.
