Definition

The indicator is used in the ALE Shared Master Data Tool (SMD Tool). It indicates whether it is possible to store change pointers in database table BDCP2 for a message type. Storage in BDCP2 considerably improves the speed at which ALE change pointers are accessed.

Storage in BDCP2is only possible if change pointers are written and read using official ALE interfaces. This applies to the following function modules:

  • CHANGE_POINTERS_CREATE.
  • CHANGE_POINTERS_CREATE_DIRECT.
  • CHANGE_POINTERS_STATUS_WRITE.
  • CHANGE_POINTERS_READ: may only be called if a single message type is entered.

If read or write access uses any other interfaces, storage in BDCP2 is not possible.
