Definition
An SAP code field cannot exist on its own in the external structure. According to BAPI Programming guidelines there always has to be a corresponding ISO code field in the external structure.
This field is assigned here.
When the function module is generated the field is used to incorporate the ISO code conversion into the function module ensuring the SAP code and the ISO code are in the correct order.
You can only enter data in the field if an SAP code exists.
