Definition

There are different categories of building units. The category of a building unit defines the functions it can perform.

By selecting the room indicator or the bed indicator and by assigning the building type, you specify which functions can be performed.

The following functions are supported:

  • Assignment of a patient to a room
  • Assignment of a patient to a treatment room in the outpatient clinic
  • Assignment of a patient to a bed location
  • Graphic display of a corridor with rooms, doors and bed locations in the care unit overview graphic.

You can assign a building type to a building unit to further classify the categories of building units.

In the care unit overview, the building types of a bed location are displayed so that you can use this information for bed assignment.

You can specify the building type of a bed location by entering one of the following values:

  • 01 = bed location for standard beds
  • 02 = bed location for specialized beds
  • 03 = bed location for overflow beds

You can specify the building type of a room by entering one of the following values:

  • 11 = sickrooms
  • 12 = corridor with bed locations
  • 13 = corridor without bed locations
  • 14 = other rooms in the care unit overview graphic
  • 15 = treatment rooms in the outpatient clinic
