Definition
This field is used for the further classification of categories of building units the function of which has already been specified by the room indicator or bed location indicator.
By specifying the building type of a room, you determine whether patients can be assigned to this room. For the care unit graphic overview, the building type is used for identifying a corridor. Specification of "corridors" is required in the care unit graphic system in order to display corridors with rooms and doors.
The following values are available as building types of a room:
- 11 = hospital room, in which patients can receive inpatient care.
Hospital rooms are above bed locations in the building hierarchy. - 12 = corridor in which beds can be set up
- 13 = corridor in which no beds are set up
- 14 = other rooms of a care unit
- 15 = treatment rooms in the outpatient clinic
The building type of a bed location can be used for bed assignment. The building type is displayed in the care unit overview. You can choose the following values to specify the building type of a bed location:
- 01 = bed location for standard beds
- 02 = bed location for specialized beds
- 03 = bed location for overflow beds
