Definition

• Allocation strategies enable you to determine the ratios or the quantities applicable for each site using customer-specific allocation methods.
• Allocation strategies are an alternative to using allocation rules, splitting the stock equally (using a site group) or manually entering quantities for each site.
• In addition to the allocation strategies contained in R/3, an allocation strategy can also include a customer's own allocation method.(User-Exit).

Use

In Customizing for Allocation Tables, you can define allocation strategies. When you create an allocation table, the system uses the allocation type to propose an allocation strategy. You can change this strategy at item level.
