Definition

For a rotable:

• Identifies the average number of unserviceable rotables exchanged per turnaround time
• Indicates the average shop load

For an expendable:

• Identifies the average number of unserviceable expendables exchanged per provision period
• Indicates the provision period demand

In case of initial provisioning, average shop load or provision period demand identifies also the average number of serviceable spare parts required initially on stock.
