Definition
For the purposes of legal consolidation, you do not need the same detailed classification of accounting transactions that is used in Asset Accounting. Usually, a more general classification is sufficient.
The consolidation transaction type is therefore a summarization of several different Asset Accounting transaction types. It groups transactions types together that make up the same accounting transactions from the point of view of legal consolidation. In general, the consolidation transaction type is the FI-AA transaction type that is most typically used for the accounting transaction.
