Definition

Display: Displays the name of a method defined in the monitoring architecture.

Define Method: Enter a name for the method that you are defining. The name is used to assign the method tree elements in the Alert Monitor.

Method Types:

  • Data Collection method: A method that creates monitoring tree elements (MTEs) in the monitoring architecture and provides them with data.
  • Auto-Reaction Method: A method that is automatically called if a monitoring attribute MTE triggers an alert. The method handles the alert by forwarding the alert information, or starting an automatic reaction, ...
  • Analysis Method: A method that users of the monitoring architecture (transaction RZ20 or other display transactions) calls to interactively analyze data and alerts.
