Definition

Display: Shows the name of a method that has been defined in the monitoring architecture.

Defining a method: Enter a name for the method that you are defining. The name is used to assign the method to tree elements in the alert monitor.

Method Types:

  • Data collection method: A method that creates monitoring tree elements (MTEs) in the monitoring architecture and provides them with data.
  • Auto-reaction method: A method that is automatically called if a monitoring attribute MTE triggers an alert. The method should handle the alert by forwarding the alert information: an automatic reacton is performed.
  • Analysis method: A method that is called by the user of the monitoring architecture (TX RZ20 or other display transactions) to analysis data and alerts interactively.
