Definition
Sets or clears time restrictions that have been defined in the order from within the CMC.
Procedure
- Right click on the button.
- To change the time restrictions, select Set/update time restrictions on order.
To delete the time restrictions, select Clear time restrictions from order. (Note that this is only possible if the time restrictions have already been updated.)
- Click Continue to confirm, or Cancel to exit the action.
Examples
- Empty button
No update has been performed so far. - Black Clock with White Background
Update performed within the current session/Refresh. If you click Refresh, or exit the CMC and reenter, the clock is black with a clear background. - Black Clock with Clear Background
Update performed at some point in the past. Restrictions/Constraints in the order correspond to the CMC values for the earliest and latest scenarios of the order. - Black Clock, Red Frame around Button
Update performed at some point in the past. Restrictions/Constraints in the order no longer correspond to the CMC values for the earliest and latest scenarios of the order.
Dependencies
- The CMC displays the clock (black or white) if CMC constraints exist in all operations in the order that are relevant to scheduling.
- The CMC displays a red frame around the button if at least one of the operations relevant to scheduling in the order deviates from the curent values in the CMC.
- If you manually delete one or more of the CMC constraints in the order the clock disappears from the button (after you click Refresh, or you call up the CMC again).
- CMC scheduling does not consider constraints.
- If constraints exist in some but not all of the operations relevant to scheduling in the order, the CMC does not display the clock. The system issues a warning that constraints already exist in the order, and that it will overwrite these constraints if you continue with the update.
- When you execute the update, the CMC inserts the timeframe as restrictions per work center operation sequence whether the CMC displays the operations as compressed by work center or not.
- By definition the CMC sets the restriction types to 'Cannot start before' for the earliest scenario and 'Finish not later' for the latest scenario.
