Documentation

Definition

Specifies that you can change the priority value that the Component Maintenance Cockpit (CMC) calculates automatically for orders assigned this order code. The manually fixed priority value is stored and displayed on the order header.

This function should be used with caution, because it may have an adverse effect for subsequent work centers. The priority values calculated by the CMC depend on the Customizing settings and on whether you select a general or a single work center view of the CMC.

Procedure

Examples

An order may have an automatic priority value 3 in the single work center view for your work center, but priority value 2 in the general work center view, depending on the Customizing settings.

If you then use the single work center view and manually change the priority value from 3 to 4 because you believe the operation in your work center to be less urgent, the overall priority value is also changed to 4, meaning that priority value 4 is also displayed in the general work center view. This may cause problems for subsequent work centers in the chain, because the overall priority value has been manually changed to low, and may no longer reflect the actual situation.

Dependencies

Once a priority value is manually fixed, the CMC no longer updates this value.

After manually fixing a priority value, you can change back to automatic priority value calculation.
